Short story writers and readers get your questions answered here.
This is the Wyndz.com help page.
Read this FAQ before you email us about any questions.
How did you start?
Go to the About page and read our story.
How do I submit a short story?
Go to the Submission page to submit your short story.
What is acceptable for a submitted story?
We accept short stories, in fiction and non-fiction form.
We also accept real or pretend letters.
When I submit a story who gets the rights to it?
You keep your rights and ownership. See the terms of service page
for more info.
What don't you accept?
We don't accept quotes, news, 'how-to' articles, non-original writings, or copyrighted material.
The only exception is if the copyrighted material is yours. If you submit
copyrighted material, please provide us with proof that you own that copyright.
Will you remove my story for any reason?
We don't know. As far as we know, no one else has ever done what we are
trying to do. If the site stays up your story should. Otherwise you will have to
ask us to remove it.
What are you trying to do?
We want to provide a place where authors can have their writings published and
will always be able to have that page up while our site is running. Our other desire
is to provide a place for people to utilize the power of inspiration. We want to promote
inspiration for living and creativity. Go to our Wyndz.com Philosophy page to see about
our take on inspiration.
Who is your target audience?
We don't have one. We want the authors to decide who their target audience is.
Will you edit my submitted story?
We will not edit submissions unless absolutely necessary. These instances would include
grammar and spelling. In order for us to avoid this kind of editing, please do spell-and-grammar
check or edit/proofread your own writings before submitting.
Will you send back my submitted story?
We cannot send back your stories, so please keep a copy for yourself.
Does Wyndz.com pay me for my story?
No. We simply provide exposure for your material.
What are Wyndz.com's requirements for story length?
We would prefer that you keep your stories between 200-2000 words. This
will help page loading time for your story.
What if my story is greater than 2000 words?
If your story is longer than 2000 words then you can submit
it in parts of less than 2000. We will publish the parts on separate
pages of their own with links to continue the story. When submitting
a story longer than 2000 words only send 5 pages at a time.
How do I make sure my story is 200-2000 words?
In Microsoft Word, click Tools, then click Word Count.
There are similar functions in other word processing programs.
I want to use U.S. Mail to send my story. How do I send my story via
U.S. Postal Service?
We don't accept submissions via USPS yet. It's a little easier to sort and
format text in digital form for us right now.
I'm younger than 18 years old. Can I send a story to you?
Yes, please submit your story. We accept literary giants of all ages.
I have a story on your site, and I want it removed. How do I request a removal
of a story?
Click
to send us an email to remove a story.
Please tell us which story you want removed.
Will anyone see my story?
We will. Odds are, if you visited our website, others are finding it too.
Our guess is, yes.
If I submit a story that is less than strange will it get
published on Wyndz?
We will publish anything we have the time to get to. If you don't see
your story in the category you chose right away please be patient.
If there are many submissions during a certain time frame it could
be a while untill your story is posted.
